I recently visited Walcot House for dinner and wow! what an amazing experience.
Walcot House is set over two floors of an old bakery on Walcot Street in the heart of Bath. They serve wholesome, flavour-driven hospitality. They make small daily changes to their menu but you can view a sample menu on their website.
I have been a few times now and their food never disappoints, while on the pricier side, they often offer discounts on their Instagram stories, such as £7 Aperol spritz or lunchtime deals.
My all-time favourite dishes to order are a starter of Beef Tartare, Spenwood Pecorino, Crostini (£13), for mains I opt for either Otter Valley Chicken & Ham Hock Pie, Mashed Potatoes, Cavolo Nero (£22) or if I’m sharing with someone then I’ll go for Côte De Boeuf £9.5 / 100g which comes with a choice of 2 sides, I’d choose Bromham Carrots, Cumin & Honey and Baby Gem Caesar, Anchovy Dressing, Parmesan, Sourdough Crumb.
Downstairs they have a bar which turns into a club for over 21’s on the weekend, meaning you can go from dinner to drinks to dancing all in one venue!
They also offer monthly Wine & Supper clubs (details about the next one can be found on their website).
Even better, on Sundays they offer 30% off everything after 6pm.
So if you’re looking for somewhere to go for a fancier dinner, to impress a date or your parents then I would 100% suggest taking them to Walcot House.
